submitted:17/11/2000 Hatch aberration: Nicrophorus tomentosus ab. spendens Hatch 1927. Because it was published as infrasubspecific, this name is not available (ICZN, art. 45.5), i.e. it has the taxonomic status of an unpublished, or manuscript, name. I visited the NMNH and captured images of all of Hatch's Nicrophorus aberrations. To see a gallery of these click here. image
